On January 31st, 2023, IRSEM, alongside with DGRIS and the French think tank IFRI, welcomed a German mixed delegation composed of three CDU Bundestag members (two deputies and one foreign policy officer) and of fours fellows from the German CDU-affiliated think tank, the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.

The exchanges focused on IRSEM's expertise on the security evolutions in MENA countries—with an accent lighting on their relations to the Western powers— within the evolving context dating back to the 2008 financial crisis. DGRIS portrayed France perceptions on these evolutions.

All participants converged on the need to promote a common European strategy in the Mediterranean.
