The annual conference of the International Studies Association (ISA) was held in San Francisco from 3 to 6 April 2024.

On Tuesday 21 May, Assistant Professor Maud Quessard, Director of Transtlantic Studies at the Institute for Strategic Research at IRSEM, hosted the IRSEM-US Army War College Annual Conference.

Introduction and scope of applications

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to define the rules applicable to the collection and processing of your personal information via our site. Indeed, the Strategic Research Institute of the Military Academy (IRSEM) is led to process information concerning you. Responsibility of data processing

The Director of Legal Affairs of the Ministry for the Armed Forces is the Data Protection Officer (DPO).

The Director General of International Relations and Strategy is the data controller, in accordance with the Ministry for the Armed Forces' order of June 13, 2018, establishing the list of data controllers within the staff, directorates, and services and the organisations attached to them.

Personal data communicated to IRSEM

We collect Personal Data from Internet users who wish to: find out more about our activities (via the contact form), receive our newsletter, establish a partnership and apply for job offers posted on the site. This data includes your first and last name, e-mail address, telephone number, CV, photograph, etc.

The data related to your navigation on our online services collected by the cookies you have authorized have a specific retention period detailed above. In any case, we regularly review the information we hold. When its retention is no longer justified by legal or commercial requirements or if you have exercised a right to modify or delete it, we will securely delete it.

Personal data collected via the Contact form and/or concerning a candidate responding to a job offer or applying spontaneously via the Contact form are kept for 3 years from the date of collection of the data or the last contact from the Internet user.

Identification and contact data (IRSEM newsletter subscribers) are kept for a maximum of 3 years from the date of unsubscription or the last contact from the Internet user.

 

External access to collected data

We undertake not to divulge to third parties the information and Personal Data that you communicate to us. This information and Personal Data is used exclusively by our internal services and for purposes approved by you. It will not be transferred or sold to third parties.

We do not transfer any Personal Data of our Users outside the European Union.

 

Protection of collected data

We implement all necessary security measures to protect your Personal Data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, damage or destruction of the data we hold.

To this end, IRSEM has deployed appropriate measures to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and security of your Personal Data including:
