Biographie

Eugénie Stoclet holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences. She completed her doctoral research within the SONYA (Socio-Environmental Dynamics Research Group) at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB).

Her work lies at the intersection of water geopolitics and climate change adaptation studies, focusing on how socio-environmental transformations shape hydropolitical relations and adaptation policies in transboundary river basins. She has conducted extensive fieldwork in the Syr Darya River Basin in Central Asia.

She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the IEDP (Université Paris-Saclay) and at the Institut de Recherche Stratégique de l’École Militaire (IRSEM), where she studies conflict and cooperation dynamics related to water resources in Asia, with a comparative perspective between Central and South Asia.
