Since 2009, IRSEM has been a breeding ground for young researchers in the humanities and social sciences, addressing issues of security and defense. This new generation benefits from a system of grants and scientific support within the Institute. Today, around 100 young researchers form IRSEM's strategic next generation.

Several financial support schemes set up by the Ministry of the Armed Forces are available to young researchers in the humanities and social sciences.
