Biographie

Stéphane Faudais is a colonel in the French Army. He defended his PhD in history in 2012 at the École Pratique des Hautes Études, under the supervision of Professor Hervé Coutau-Bégarie. His research focuses on revolutionary battle tactics, 19th-century history, and the french Second Empire.

His previous positions include Director of Foresight at the Saint-Cyr Coëtquidan Military Academy, Chair of Tactics and Military History at the French Army and Director of the History, Geopolitics and Strategy Department at the École de guerre.

Stéphane Faudais is a partner researcher at UMR SIRICE and a research fellow at the Institut de stratégie comparée. He is an instructor at the Institut catholique de Paris, the Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas, and the Écoles de Saint-Cyr Cotquidan.
