Biographie

Sabine Arkaïda Dini est chercheuse postdoctorale dans le cadre du programme "résident" de l'IRSEM et affiliée au VIP de l’UVSQ-Paris-Saclay. Docteure en sociologie de Sorbonne Paris Nord, et qualifiée dans les sections 04 et 19, sa thèse portait sur la gouvernance des migrations internationales par le don dans la Corne de l’Afrique. Son travail a reçu en 2021 le prix Léon Bourgeois du GRAM-CERI Sciences Po, de l’Association française pour les Nations unies et de la Fondation Kofi Annan.

Précédemment, elle a travaillé comme experte au Haut-Commissariat des Nations unies pour les réfugiés (HCR), à l’Organisation internationale pour les migrations (OIM) ou à la Banque mondiale (WBG). Sabine Dini a enseigné la sociologie et la sociologie de l’international à l’Université Sorbonne Paris Nord et l’Université Catholique de Lille. Elle est fellow de l’Institut Convergences Migrations.

Ses recherches actuelles portent sur l'implication des acteurs de la sécurité et de la défense dans la gouvernance des migrations internationales.

Sabine Arkaïda Dini is a postdoctoral researcher in the IRSEM "resident" program and is affiliated with the VIP at UVSQ-Paris-Saclay. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the Sorbonne Paris Nord (qualified in sections 04 and 19). Her thesis focused on the governance of international migration through gift-giving practices in the Horn of Africa. The GRAM-CERI Sciences Po, the French Association for the United Nations and the Kofi Annan Foundation, awarded her work the Léon Bourgeois Prize.

Previously, she worked as an expert at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the World Bank (WBG). Sabine Dini taught Sociology and Sociology of International Relations at the University Sorbonne Paris Nord and the Catholic University of Lille. She is a fellow of the Convergences Migrations Institute.

Her current research focuses on the involvement of security and defense actors in the governance of international migration.
